He that is not willing to sacrifice everything for the cause of Christ, is really willing to sacrifice nothing.

  2. PreacherE

Praise God for the 15 souls saved this past week in revival.

    1. John81

  3. PreacherE

Well, finished my first day on the new jOB. It was quite different to say the least. Was definitely nice not having to get up at 3am this morning though.

  4. PreacherE

When it rains, it pours; but I'm glad that when it pours God still reigns.

    1. John81

Getting ready to take some good friends out to eat tonight.

  7. PreacherE

Making some homemade Honey Wheat bread from scratch right now. Will be making fried chicken for supper.

  8. PreacherE

Took Helen out to play in the snow earlier while I cleared our walkway. She tried to start a snowball fight but we wound up making a snowman instead.

    1. OFIB Preacher

      Y'all have a daughter now? I didn't know! Congratulations!!!

    2. PreacherE

She was born while we were in Kentucky. She'll be seven come April.

  9. PreacherE

Just finished teaching my wife how to make biscuits from scratch for the first time. Bad thing is I think her's are coming out better than mine. A taste test will see.

  10. PreacherE

Finally made it home after a long day of visiting with family.

  11. PreacherE

Helen's enjoying playing on her very own computer. Now she can quit stealing mine and her mama's to play on.

  12. PreacherE

Getting a few things ready for our Christmas play tonight. Come out and join us if you can. 6pm at Piedmont Baptist Church, 257 Penn Lake Dr., Reidsville, NC

    1. John81

      May the Lord bless!

  13. PreacherE

Looking forward to church this morning. Morning service with dinner on the grounds. Last day of revival with Bro. Phil Kidd. Can't wait to hear the messages God has given him for today!

  14. PreacherE

Haven't long got home from church. Dr. Phil Kidd preached a powerful message on "Are there Skeletons in Your Closet?" out of Matthew 23:27.

  15. PreacherE

Family Reunion today at 11am. Revival continues on tonight and tomorrow at Piedmont Baptist Church with Bro. Phil Kidd.

  16. PreacherE

Heard an excellent message last night in our first night of Revival. Bro. Kidd preached out of Jeremiah 18 on "Don't Get Off the Wheel." He preached on some things God uses to help mold us and make us to be more like Christ.

  17. PreacherE

Revival starts tonight at Piedmont Baptist Church with Dr. Phil Kidd. All who can are welcome to attend. Services begin at 7:30 each night going through Sat. night. Regular church services on Sunday.

    1. BroMatt

      How did it go?

    2. OFIB Preacher

Thanks, but no thanks. I wouldn't walk across the street to hear him, any more!

    3. PreacherE

It went good. He preached out of Jeremiah 18. Used a good illustration of how the potter's wheel works. Five more services left. Praying that God would truly bring revival not only to our church, but to myself as well.

  18. PreacherE

Had a great time skating with the kids for a couple of hours.

  19. PreacherE

Looking forward to the youth activity today. We'll be taking the young people skating.

  20. PreacherE

Does anybody have any extra time they would like to lend me? I could use at least another 8 hours each day.

  21. PreacherE

'I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.' ~ Psalm 122:1 Are you glad that you get to go to church today? or Is it something you dread?

    1. John81

Praise God I look forward to every church service, Sunday school and Bible study!

  22. PreacherE

    "When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers, let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers just men who will rule in the fear of God. The preservation of a republican government depends on the faithful discharge of this duty;

    1. PreacherE

      "If the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted; laws will be made not for the public good so much as for the selfish or local purposes;

"Corrupt or incompetent men will be app...ointed to execute the laws; the public revenues will be squandered on unworthy men; and the rights of the citizens will be violated or disregarded.

Noah Webster, "History of the United States", published in 1832.

    2. OFIB Preacher

Have already voted! Right on target!

    3. John81

Most Christians won't heed this. They are content to vote for the lesser of two evils and then wonder why our government is evil.

    4. PreacherE

You're exactly right John! I've never understood how people can vote for the lesser of two evils. The person I vote for may not have much a chance of winning, but at least I'll stand before God one day with a clear conscience. Also, if all those who claim the name of Christ would vote for the most godly candidate then they would have a much better chance of winning the election. Sadly, I fear the days of America following God are long gone.

  23. PreacherE

Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Psalm 33:1
