Thanks Alan, This baby, a ram, was born Valentine's Day. His mother accepted his twin brother just fine but rejected him for some reason. . He stays with the flock but now comes running for the bottle when you go out there. http://images.craigslist.org/00101_lY0gCYpv9oe_600x450.jpg
A "bottle baby" was born last week. He is a twin, he's beautiful and his mother has a lot of milk , but for some reason she accepted the one and rejects the other. If you hold her head so that she can't butt him away, he wastes no time taking the opportunity to suckle. But we put him on the bottle too. If they aren't introduced to a bottle, early on, lambs will reject it. They will starve to death with the bottle in their mouth; baby goats will do it too. There are 62 lambs now. I think there are only two more ewes to go and they will be done for the season. Now to grow them and find buyers.
Instead of throwing food away like people do today, we ate everything on our plates. There were very few "scraps" from our table, not only because our parents taught us to eat it all, but because we worked up healthy appetites on the farm. If there were any scraps, they went to the dog or the hog pen. Nothing was wasted. I frequently hear folks that say "my dog won't eat that dogfood".....HA! He would on OUR farm.
How many remember Bro. Jewell Smith? Bro, Smith preached at our church, many years ago, and brought some of his Bible collection. I have a collection of his cassette tapes. http://www.baptists.net/history/2011/10/the-jewell-smith-lectures/
The modern name of the place is irrelevant. The point is; there are Arabs living in the land of Israel; the land given to the Jews by the Creator of the Universe. From what I'm reading, Arabs pretty much travel freely between Arab countries. One of the Palestinian men who bought sheep from me last year, was educated in Morocco. Now he lives in the US, and still isn't happy the Jews are there. What am I saying? If those "Palestinians" really wanted to leave they could have done so many years ago:, they've had 67 years to do it. If Israel gave the Arabs 99% of Palestine, they still would not be satisfied until the last Jew left. Modern politics mean little to me concerning this: the Bible says the place belongs to the Jews.
