  1. Islam

I don't have time to look all this up today. But I believe "mono" means "one" correct? Then doesn't "gene" come from the same word we get "genes", "genetics", "gendered" and "generate"? When you "beget" a son, your son comes from your "GENES" right?. So God Almighty "generated", "gendered" His Son Jesus by the Holy Ghost the Bible says and His Son is the ONLY ONE.

You quoted from the NIV. We only use the King James Bible in these forums.
  4. Islam

Their god cannot be about love because he rewards men by exploiting women and he condones the barbaric killing of innocent people. Islamists concept of their god, is also fatalistic because they think that he predetermines people to paradise or Hell much the same way as the Calvinists' god does.

The sheep wanted more food and needed a more efficient means of growing forage and transporting hay. So they had a few meetings, pooled their resources, and bought this.........

  9. The Impossible Love of The God of All Creation

Quit trying. quit analyzing. Admit you're a helpless, hopeless, hell-deserving sinner and trust Jesus.
  10. I've decided to join the Masons

Honey, I was hungry and tried to bake some biscuits; what did I do wrong? No, the mortar hardened up just fine over the weekend, thank the Lord.. This is my first time laying block and I have about $7k in materials on this project, so I'm just a little nervous about everything turning out OK.

Well, if this stuff doesn't firm up substantially, I might just withdraw my membership...I'm not too fanatical about it anyway. Anyone know much about mortar?
  14. Does Anybody Have Any Music Videos That You Care To Share?

Thanks brother, No matter how hard I try, can't seem to be able to sing "Glad Reunion Day" without breaking up. Some of the best times of my life, singing with my wife and children for God's people. This is another...........

  17. A simple request

So many newfangled things being invented and when you think something can't be improved, somebody comes along and does it. I just bought a new tape measure which has readings on both sides of the tape. That will come in handy for sure.
  18. A simple request

Copper would have been no problem, but a good deal more expensive having to buy the Cu pipe, torch, solder, flux and fittings, but what you did looks nice!
  19. Rifle build kit

You nailed bro! HAHA She would just say "take yours apart and then y'all can put it back together"
  20. Repairs

Last weekend, the controller on our well pump went out. The capacitor had melted down. I went to town, bought another, and installed it: quick fix. But yesterday morning, the points (contacts) on the pump's pressure switch burned out on one side so there were no baths until I got home from work with a new unit. I changed it out after dark with my sweetie holding the flashlight. The parts on a farm's well do take a beating. Surprised this one lasted as long as it did.
  21. Repairs

Our pump/well is about 31 years old and I think this is the third pressure switch at least.. Ours has been used to water our horses, cattle, sheep and garden over the years, plus the crazy thing gets waterlogged too often and I have to drain the tank. When it's waterlogged, the switch is tripping constantly. We have another well now, too, which is strictly used for the sheep pastures but, this one still gets used alot.
  22. 3D Printing

Well, the printer(parts) came in, and my Grandson and I began assembling it at the kitchen table. I finished it up, wired it, and loaded the control software on my laptop but it would not communicate with the machine. Seems the software was configured to load the driver(a separate program) into Windows 7 only; Why I have no idea. So I had to download a copy of the driver from a website and install it manually. The trick was in corresponding with the folks in China, who only check their email late at night.......from our perspective.......and through a lot of not-so-good English and most of the instructions they sent in Chinese characters, I finally obtained the right driver. It's working fine now. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDe1jx4CeBE
  23. Question for Pastor Markle

Bro Markle In what "voice" is the word "ordained" as used here? Thanks Acts 13:48 "And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed."
  24. Question for Pastor Markle

Thanks Brother Markle, I know the manuscript below is from the 14th Century; but it does seem to me that, in this particular usage, the "man" became "ordeyned" by his own actions. With us, as to temptacioun, which peyne335Highte concupiscence./ And this concupiscence, 336whan it is wrongfully disposed 336Or ordeyned in man, it maketh hym coveite,336By coveitise of flessh, flesshly synne, by sighte336Of his eyen as to erthely thynges, and eek336Coveitise of hynesse by pride of herte./337Now, as for to speken of the firste coveitise,337That is concupiscence, after the lawe of oureFrom "The Canturbury Tales" by Geoffrey Chaucer, circa late 14th Century
  25. Question for Pastor Markle

One more thing, Bro. Markle. Where can I find documentation showing that this verb can be used in middle voice?
