  1. The beauty of creation

    Let's stay on topic. Thanks.
  2. I hope he can get his job back...and then I hope he's safe while there!
  3. I have often wondered where this was ....

    Who knew?
  4. Whats for Supper...

We had hamburgers for supper. With salad and veggies. Avocados were ready so we had some of that, too. Delicious.
  5. Whats for Supper...

Tonight the menu includes leftover cube steak with potatoes. I'm probably going to have a sausage croissant.
  6. Missionaries

Dave, that's wonderful! We have always loved seeing/hearing from the missionaries our church supported. And we have always enjoyed missionaries coming through and presenting their burden and their field. Our church currently does not support any missionaries on a regular basis. The members had sent a certain amount yearly or twice yearly to 4 different ones, which was great. But now we need to seriously be looking at supporting missionaries on a regular basis. Our first missionary family is scheduled to visit on July 1. It just so happens that the family are good friends of ours (my hubs and the man went to college together). They are actually on furlough. The church is excited about hosting them and having them present their ministry. Who knows, they may be the first missionaries we officially support. What a blessing to be able to do so!
  7. Whats for Supper...

Ugh - back when we had our first garden, the first product was lettuce. We were so excited about having fresh salad. I loved it...until I found HALF a cabbage worm in my half-eaten salad. Yes. Half. That was over 40 years ago and I STILL get sickish thinking about where the other half of the worm went... Tonight we had chicken, potatoes, veggies, salad (with NO cabbage worms).
  8. Whats for Supper...

We're just picking tonight (sandwich/salad for me, soup/salad/sandwich for my hubs). Even though it isn't supper, I'm looking forward to breakfast tomorrow. Or brunch, actually. The men of our church are cooking breakfast for we ladies. I have no idea what we're going to have, but I know it's going to be tasty.
  9. Whats for Supper...

We had fried chicken, baked potato, veggies, and salad tonight.
  10. Whats for Supper...

I'm sorry about your granddaughter, @Invicta. My mom made spaghetti tonight for our potluck tomorrow. So we had spaghetti tonight.
  11. How to Understand Revelation and Daniel

Hi, Marilyn. Your question is a valid one, but it's not actually part of this thread. Feel free to start a thread on the subject. Thanks.
  12. Hello

Welcome aboard, Prince. I have read a little about the refugee camp there. It is a sad plight, for sure, for many. What church is it that you are part of there? If you could give me some contact information, I can send it along to a pastor who is in Malawi (I don't know how close to the camp, though).
  13. Hello from Sylvania Georgia

    Hi, Anna. Welcome aboard.
  14. Question about Bible College.

If you are a soon-to-be-wife, you also need to discuss this with your soon-to-be-husband. You cannot biblically make a decision like this without him. God is pleased with us when we desire to learn more about His Word - I'm sure He will show you how you are to go about it.
  15. Calvinism or Arminianism? How do you answer?

Heh. Here in this area it's not arminian or calvinist...they just want to make sure we aren't Mormons or JW's.
