  1. Whats for Supper...

Thank you, we did. And it was good to spend time with family. Our son is still in Indiana, but he was able to video call us this evening and we were able to chat a bit. Can't wait til May when he's supposed to be moving up here. Yay! Thanks for the recipe! I'm not sure I'd like chestnuts stuffed in the turkey - I'm not crazy about stuffing from the turkey. Although I would taste it, because I do like chestnuts.
  2. Whats for Supper...

Today is Thanksgiving Day here in the US. We will have the traditional meal: turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans and corn, cranberry, rolls. And for dessert pumpkin, apple, and rhubarb pies (not to mention the cookies in the cookie jar). Lots of food, with lots of leftovers for munching over the next few days. And lots of thanks and praise to our God above for all He has given and all the He is. May all who read this (who are in the US) have a wonderful, thankful Thanksgiving.
  3. Whats for Supper...

I fixed meatloaf last night. It was quite tasty. Tonight we'll have meatloaf sandwiches (the best part of making meatloaf ).
  4. "Ban The Person Above You" Game

Ban Rosie cuz NN isn't playing right now
  5. "Ban The Person Above You" Game

Ban Rosie because I've had a busy day.
  6. Whats for Supper...

I would agree - no frozen pot pie comes close to homemade! We are planning a "pie social" for our December potluck at church. We'll have both savory and sweet pies (and likely pizza pie). I'm planning on making at least a chicken pot pie, possibly beef. And I'm already tasting it.
  7. Whats for Supper...

Tonight I had an individual size pizza and my hubs had pot pies (1 beef, 1 chicken).
  8. The beauty of creation

It rarely snows in our neck of the woods (well, in the mountains it does, but we are thousands of feet below...). In the two winters we've been here, we've only had a couple of dustings. And that's usually closer to Christmas and/or in January. But this past Saturday we got an early surprise. At our house we got about an inch - not much by some standards, I know, but it's a big deal in an area that, as I said, rarely gets snow - and never this early. This picture was taken by someone in town. I'm not overly fond of snow, but I do love snowy scenes.

Ban NN for being a (p)sycho...hehehehe
  10. Please pray for the Cseh family

I haven't heard about their rent - since she didn't mention it, I'm assuming that it's ok for this month. Oh, no! Will they be able to change your meds?
  11. Please pray for the Cseh family

Last night, Attila was back in the hospital. No matter what, they just cannot get his irregular heart beat to go away with any of the medications. We have a couple of next steps, but the discussion is open heart surgery. We are also discussing pre surgery tests, like a stress test and a catheterization. Please pray for Attila, as he is just worn out.

Ban Rosie because, well, just do it.
  13. Whats for Supper...

It looked like a cake with carrot garnish. Seriously, it was shaped like a two-layer round cake, and "iced" with mayonnaise, garnished with carrot slices. It consisted of potatoes, turnips, and a few more veggies. Tonight we had creamed chicken on toast.
  14. Whats for Supper...

We had potluck at church yesterday. I brought a tater tot casserole, someone brought clam chowder (ick), sloppy joes, russian potato salad, coleslaw. And we had birthday cake (we do a birthday cake the first Sunday of each month to celebrate that month's birthdays).
  15. Whats for Supper...

Last night we had bacon and tomato sandwiches. Good stuff!
