  1. Please pray for the Cseh family

Update on Attila: Since Attila's relapse of irregular heartbeats two weeks ago, we have had to put off his back surgery and/or injections, as his electrophysiologist (like a cardiologist, but the one is a plumber of the heart and the EP is the electrician) wants to clear him of any heart issues by running tests on June 14th. Right now, we expect to be away from home until after July 12th, which is the date of his last heart tests. Please pray for us as: 1. Our rental home in Texas was damaged from the hail (in April), and we are now without a home at our home. 2. As of May 31st, Attila is without a job or insurance. (He has not worked since he passed out on November 16th, but work has been very kind in keeping his insurance active and paying for the premiums). We previously stayed in a church annex and for this current week, we are staying at a Christian college dorm suite (beautiful dorm and location). As of June 1st, we are without a place to stay and in a pickle. We know that God will provide, but it is quite stressful. Also, please pray, as some of the medications stress Attila's system, and he now has an issue with his eye, where a rod/cone is sticking out. It is quite painful and his eye will not stop draining. He is going into the doctors today to get medication. It is caused by lack of sleep, stress on his immune system, and overall stress of our situation.Between the heart, back, eye, loss of home, and the death of his father, Attila is concerned about being able to provide for us. We have started to look for work, but until he gets cleared, we have to time things the best we can to get employment right when he is cleared. We also need prayer, as short term disability was denied the first time and we are waiting for Texas to send a letter allowing us to move Attila's treating physician to our current location. It is amazing that God has provided for all of our needs since November, considering all that we have been through in travel, surgeries, etc. I feel like the woman that made cakes for Elijah, yet her containers were never empty. God has been good to us and we continue to pray for provision, guidance, and Attila to be cleared of medical issues.
  2. Lost a Friend Today

No. We're living with my mom for the time being. When the Lord allows, we'll probably be putting up another house on the property, but not right now.
  3. Lost a Friend Today

Are you thinking of the Cseh family? If so, I haven't heard yet.
  4. Hello From Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

    Welcome aboard!
  5. Lost a Friend Today

A friend of ours in IN has gone to be with the Lord this morning. Peggy Dickey had cancer. She actually had the cancer before we left Indiana. But in recent days she was put on hospice. She leaves behind her husband Cary and her teen-age son Stephen. Please be in prayer for her men. We know that she is in Heaven, and for that we can rejoice. But even with that comfort, it is hard for loved ones. Thanks.
  6. Whats for Supper...

We had hamburgers and potato salad last night. My mom makes a great potato salad. Tonight I'll be making homemade tacos. Num-num!
  7. The Mimic Octopus - Fascinating!

    They are fascinating!
  8. The Mimic Octopus - Fascinating!

You are more than welcome, Alan.
  9. Whats for Supper...

For supper last night, we ate leftover spaghetti and pizza. Oh, and the leftovers from the jello cake Mom made for the potluck.
  10. What a Creator we have! I got this in my email this morning. God's diversity in creation is amazing. The article has pictures that show some of what the Mimic can do. http://creation.com/mimic-octopus "In 1998 a fantastic creature was discovered off the coast of the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. The Mimic Octopus (Thaumoctopus mimicus) is the first living thing ever observed to imitate the shape, colour, texture, posture and behaviour of several other animal species. It performs multiple impersonations as it crosses the ocean floor."

  12. Whats for Supper...

Pizza for supper tonight. Spaghetti for potluck at church tomorrow.
  13. NOW what do I do...

They've already received the money for it, as you noted. You're just redeeming them. If you don't, they make out with free money given to them. I say redeem them - online, so you don't have to step foot into the actual store. Or, if the exchange works out, exchange them (but then you are just passing the cards along to someone else to go to the store with, so...). It won't be long before life and death issues will be a reality here. Things like this bathroom junk are paving the way.
  14. laid aside his garments

I'm sure they were his outer garments. Back in that day, men wore tunics under their robes. So likely he put aside his outer garments but still had on his tunic. The God who commands modesty wouldn't wash feet buck naked.
  15. Whats for Supper...

That sounds delicious! Tonight we're having chicken stir fry. Yes, we are frying the veggies. The chicken was grilled. Heheh
