New to the Baptist denomination, was saved in the pentecostal church, moved to Baptist about 2 years ago. Went through discipleship through the church and have been studying as much as I can on as many topics as I can since. Currently teaching the adult sunday school class, and going through Faith Bible Institute Bible school.
You may not agree with me on everything, (eg: my music views are complex and a lot of people wont bother to hear my side of the story) however. I love all my brothers and sisters in Christ, and am so happy that you have accepted salvation through Christ alone, My prayer is that you would pray with me for your lost family members and mine, and continue to preach Christ crucified.

KJB and supposed (errors)
Baptist history, (after my research I am proud to now be a Baptist!)
I really like OB, I do however miss certain people that got removed from the forum. Although sometimes I think stones are quickly thrown for silly disagreements. Overall I think everyone means well.

that article is humorous at best. Even if you decided to go to Strongs for Lev 18:22, the definition of Abomination there:
"H8441 תֹּעֵבַה תּוֹעֵבַה tô‛êbah tô‛êbah to-ay-baw', to-ay-baw' Feminine active participle of H8581; properly something disgusting (morally), that is, (as noun) an abhorrence; especially idolatry or (concretely) an idol: - abominable (custom, thing), abomination. Total KJV occurrences: 117"
sooo either way, the article falls flat.
as for the KJB "controversy", I dont think you need the greek, I believe the KJB is preserved. Some people like to use the greek who are KJVO; I dont find it necessary for my own studies, lesson planning, teaching etc.
"What about Greek nuggets?" http://av1611.com/kjbp/faq/nuggets.html
I find just using a good ol 1828 dictionary helpful, as my english fails in comparison to the KJB.
REV'EREND, adjective [Latin reverendus.]
1. Worthy of reverence; entitled to respect mingled with fear and affection; as reverend and gracious senators.
I know I'm not worthy of reverence... neither is anyone with a theology degree.
Saying the sinners prayer won't save you, believing in Jesus and that He paid the debt saves you. You can't repent and then get saved, you will never clean enough sin off of you to be welcomed into God's house, it's your faith in Jesus and the overwelming grace that He extends to us with His body on the cross that show us how filthy we are, and because He loved us so much, changing our ways of self to serving Him and leaving all behind to be obedient to Him (repentance) is the result. Faith preceeds repentance but they are two halves of the same coin.
25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
Don't over complicate the simple message of the Bible and the cross. All of history has been penned as God providing a way for all to love Him.
Hey all, back from a bit of a hiatus, I use tapatalk on my phone and this site used to work great on it, however now I can't connect with it anymore, it needs admin approval or some such. Anyone else finding this?
and where does Wretched say that he doesn't acknowledge Christs, Love, Grace and Mercy? Doctrine of Separation does not mean one doesn't engage the culture for Christ. You're false dichotomies fail again. Please stick to topic.
