New to the Baptist denomination, was saved in the pentecostal church, moved to Baptist about 2 years ago. Went through discipleship through the church and have been studying as much as I can on as many topics as I can since. Currently teaching the adult sunday school class, and going through Faith Bible Institute Bible school.
You may not agree with me on everything, (eg: my music views are complex and a lot of people wont bother to hear my side of the story) however. I love all my brothers and sisters in Christ, and am so happy that you have accepted salvation through Christ alone, My prayer is that you would pray with me for your lost family members and mine, and continue to preach Christ crucified.

and where does Wretched say that he doesn't acknowledge Christs, Love, Grace and Mercy? Doctrine of Separation does not mean one doesn't engage the culture for Christ. You're false dichotomies fail again. Please stick to topic.
While I dont think we should ever not engage the culture, are you saying we should not "Be ye separate"? Also the "do you not believe God is sovereign" routine needs to stop. We all agree God is in control of all, at the same time we all have our own choices and thus consequences. Do you say God caused you to sin? I would sure hope not
I cant speak for Dave and say "what counts as full Calvinism". I would say you need to look at each "theologian" and what they teach, Personally I have learned that not one theologian have I ever found to be solid 100% on everything, and that includes spurgeon who we love to esteem so highly. Now If people call Inconsistent Calvinists, full Calvinists, I would say they are just looking to bolster their numbers. I would also say anyone who starts down the road of TULIP, to be consistent would need all of the points. the T needs the ULI to have the P.
a little bit here but... we separate from Catholics because (well one of many reasons is) their view of atonement, imputed vs infused, yet Calvinists/baptists (yes I say there is a difference) wont separate from each other on views such as this, regeneration, who can be saved etc. I would think that both camps would label some level of heresy on the other. As one gospel message is extremely different than the other, so much so that only one can be correct. Either all can be saved or only those whom God has preselected, Hard/soft determinism and free will cannot both be right and have extremely contrary origins on evil, the pr OB lem evil, and God character.
It wasn't really a meaty post - just a difference of opinion on processes. Do you think sharpening ever breaks a blade? IMO, I would think that hacking a blade over a rock breaks it, not the sharpening process.
