I was born to dedicated Christian parents and raised in an Independent Baptist Church. I gave my heart to Jesus at the age of 6, baptized by immersion two weeks later, and gave my life to ministry at the age of 8. For years I told people I was going to be a missionary. At 14 I spent a summer as a teen missionary with Child Evangelism Fellowship and the next two summers after that. I had been helping my parents in lay ministry in the church since I was 10 and had been going to teacher training seminars, that RBP and our local Bible book store used to hold, since I was 12. At the age of 16 the Lord directed me where my calling to missions should go -- counseling. After graduating high school I attended Appalachian Bible College in Beckley, WV and graduated with a BA in Bible and Theology with a concentration in Bible Family Counseling. I met my husband at ABC, but at the time we were just friends and he ended up having to leave due to lack of funds. After graduating we re-established contact and eventually fell in love and married. We have been involved in a variety of youth ministries over the last 18 years. We have recently joined a new church and are waiting for God to open the doors for a new ministry opportunity.
