  1. Mid Tribulation fleeing of Israel

Hi Eric, Glad we can agree there bro. that Jesus is the root. However as regards Israel being the tree, let`s have a closer look - `.....grafted in among them, and with them became partaker of the root and fatness of the Olive tree.` (Rom. 11: 17) Clearly we see that the Lord is the root and the Olive tree, for Israel and the Body of Christ receive nourishment from Christ. However it does not say we are in Israel. regards, Marilyn.
  2. Mid Tribulation fleeing of Israel

Hi Eric, You seem to miss when I reply and keep moving on. It would be good to finish one point eg the Olive tree before moving on. I showed you that God`s word reveals it is the Lord who is holy, nurtures us and supports us. Israel has never or can never do that. As to America and Russia in a nuclear war. You`ll have to have more proof from God`s word regarding that. God`s word actually does say who is in that war. (Ez. 38: 1 - 6) regards, Marilyn.
  3. Are We Teaching the Bible Well in Our Churches?

Hi Steven & others posting here, I do agree that the institutional organisation is more concerned with having numbers and making people feel comfy at the public meetings. Gone are the days of good expositional teaching in most places, however.....as the Lord, the Head of His Body is building and maturing His Body, ( as we all know) then those who are hungry, can find good teachers (from the past) and mentors to teach them. This is how we operate over here in our area in OZ. Now as to the 7 churches in Revelation, if the Lord only was referring to the 7 in Asia Minor then one would be doing well, another being persecuted and another weak etc and all within a few kilometres of each other. History does not reveal this. They all went into persecution, then grave errors came in, as the Apostle Paul foretold. `For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.` (Acts. 20: 29 & 30) Thus what the Lord is showing concerning the 7 churches is the errors that have come in and that He is the one who `holds them in His hands,` He is the capable administrator who can watch over His Church down through the ages and across the world. regards, Marilyn.
  4. Mid Tribulation fleeing of Israel

Hi Eric, I`m glad you posted those scriptures bro, for they are the ones that has caused this great error. So let`s have a look at them. Zech. 14: 5 `...and the Lord my God shall come and all the `quodos,` ones with thee.` The Hebrew word `quodos` means - holy ones and that can be angels or saints. Thus we need more scriptures to verify which. Habakkuk 3 is referring to the Lord - thine anointed. It is He who will deal with those that come against Jerusalem. `Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, and their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.` (Zech. 14: 12) Nothing to do with us cutting off people`s heads. regards, Marilyn.
  5. Mid Tribulation fleeing of Israel

Hi Eric, Thank you for your reply. Galatians (3) - as we both know is presenting the truth that we are not perfected by the works of the law but by faith in Christ, (who fulfilled the law). We are the `children of Abraham,` meaning `of faith` such as he had. It does NOT mean we are now physical Israel. `So then they which are OF FAITH are blessed with believing Abraham.` (Gal. 3: 9) There is still such a nation as Israel, with people who are physical descendants of Abraham. That is NOT us. Romans (11) - Who does God say is the Olive tree? The root is holy. (v.16) The root has fatness. (v. 17) The root supports you. (v.18) No other than the Lord Jesus Christ can fulfill all those requirements. Only the Lord is Holy. Only the Lord can replete (fatness) fill us up. Only the Lord supports us. Thus we are IN CHRIST, NOT in Israel. Regards, Marilyn.
  6. Mid Tribulation fleeing of Israel

Hi Eric, We do get to some interesting points. So you believe we, the Body of Christ are grafted into Israel. Can you please show from scripture how you have come to this view, please? regards, Marilyn. BTW I do know the scriptures you are referring to but would like to see how you present them.
  7. Mid Tribulation fleeing of Israel

Hi Eric, Now it seems to me that those people - `Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.` are saints, people of Israel, for the Body of Christ was not known or even begun. As to the `armies,` well it never says they are the body of Christ. All through God`s word we see that the armies of heaven, are the angelic host. regards, Marilyn.
  8. Mid Tribulation fleeing of Israel

Hi Eric, God is talking to an earthly nation there - Israel, whereas the Body of Christ is a spiritual body of people from all over the world. We are told - `For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.` (1 Cor. 10: 3 - 6) The Body of Christ does NOT war against people, does not use physical force, we are told to pull down arguments, lies, errors, etc NOT people. Israel on the other hand was/is an earthly nation with an earthly inheritance and thus they have to go to war. BTW The army in Rev. 19 that comes with the Lord is His angelic army, that is holy, (symbolically clothed in fine linen as the angels in Rev. 15: 6 are described also - Holy) The Lord never said we, His Body would come with Him. He always said that the holy angels, the heavenly host, of which He is captain of, would come with Him. When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and ALL THE HOLY ANGELS with Him. `(Matt. 25: 31) `...the Son of Man....comes in His own glory, and in His Father`s glory and in the glory of the HOLY ANGELS.` (Luke 9: 26) regards, Marilyn.
  9. Mid Tribulation fleeing of Israel

Hi Eric, Scripture says that the Lord has trodden the winepress alone, as it is He who alone can judge, however .....God`s word tells us that His angelic army comes with Him to deliver Israel and bring judgment upon the nations. `When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and ALL THE HOLY ANGELS with Him. `(Matt. 25: 31) `...the Son of Man....comes in His own glory, and in His Father`s glory and in the glory of the HOLY ANGELS.` (Luke 9: 26) Marilyn.
  10. Mid Tribulation fleeing of Israel

Hi Eric, I don`t see that in scripture. Maybe time to start another thread on some of these details ay - The Russian War. (Ezekiel) etc regards, Marilyn.
  11. Mid Tribulation fleeing of Israel

Hi Eric, From those scriptures we understand that the anti-Christ will go over to the Lord`s glorious mountain - Mount Zion in Jerusalem and tread down the holy city for 42 months. It does not say anything about Armageddon there. Marilyn.
  12. Mid Tribulation fleeing of Israel

Hi Eric, I also appreciate to talk to those who study God`s word in depth. Now we are getting to details. You say that about the time of him setting up his A/D then he brings the armies of the world to take Jerusalem. However...it is not until the end of the trib, that that happens. The armies of the world gather in the vast expansive valley at Armageddon, north of Israel. We know they go through the land of Israel killing all Israeli as they go - two thirds of the nation of Israel. (Zech. 13: 8) Then the world`s armies take Jerusalem and finally gather in victory formation surrounding Jerusalem. (Luke 21: 20 & 24) We know it will be a pyrrhic victory - costing more to the victor than to the vanquished! regards, Marilyn.
  13. Mid Tribulation fleeing of Israel

Hi Eric, I posted some details to you bro, and it would be courteous to reply to them - `And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem` (Zech. 12: 10 & 11) Here we see that the Lord has gone into Jerusalem and shown Himself to the people of Israel. They realise that He is their Messiah and mourn for Him. They mourn IN JERUSALEM. Now that CANNOT happen in the middle of the tribulation because we are told in God`s word that the anti-Christ, (the lawless one) sets up the abomination of desolation in their temple. When Jesus was on earth He even told them that when they see that - `to flee.` (Matt. 24: 15 - 22) Thus they are not mourning but fleeing in the middle of the trib, while at the end of the trib, they will mourn when the Lord Jesus Christ comes in power and great glory and reveals Himself to them. Big time difference there bro, Marilyn. regards, Marilyn.

Hi Eric, Probably good to start a thread on Ps. 83 and not get it muddled up with your topic. regards, Marilyn.
