I heard about it on a talk show today. I feel sorry for the girl that really sang the song.

They train the kids there to be very submissive to adults, and many are abused (as far as what Americans think) anyway, so probably she was not as offended as the rest of the world was. Maybe after a big deal was made of it, she was, but then China is restricted to news anyway so she may never know she was supposed to be offended.
