Making beef stew again with lots of fresh tomatoes and carrots and parsnips and onions from garden.  I have got to use a lot of tomatoes, they just keep coming on, and on, and on . . . . .

Think I'll make some homemade biscuits too . . . . and slather on the butter.  I've just put on ten pounds thinking about it.  Mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Glad you have lots of tomatoes.  Mine have almost finished.  I had quite a few earlier on but most of my plants died.  I did freeze quite a few and use them for cooking in stews etc.

Today my daughter and family came to lunch and I did duck, and roast potatoes.   For supper our grandson stayed and I did salad with canned sardines.

My grandson is going to university this month and has just heard he has been awarded a bursary by an  international company.

High protein, low fat, low calorie focus for a while until I get my weight heading in the right direction again.  Tonight will be Salmon, and grilled asparagus.  Dessert will be 1 cup of plain frozen blueberries.  Protein shake (30 grams protein, 160 cal) for a late 10 am breakfast, skip lunch.

Dinner last night got changed from tuna casserole to homemade burgers. Num!  I had leftovers for lunch today.

Tonight, homemade chili.  I put it together last night to sit in the fridge and let the spices meld together.  It's in the crockpot now, cooking and cooking away.  We will have cheese, sour cream, fritos, and crackers to go along with it (and peanut butter sandwich if my hubby wants).  Oh, and milk to drink.

I have the soul winners dinner tonight so I have to prepare for 40 people.  Our church is having an "Oregon Trail" promotion/contest this month, so I am making "wagon train" food.  Big pot of Beans, with ham hocks, and diced ham.  I prefer it thick and not soup like so I will be simmering it for almost 6 hours.  Then making corn bread from scratch in cast iron skillets (the only way to make real cornbread).  Drinks will have to be plain water or coffee since that is all they had on the wagon trains.

Sounds delicious!  We had our chili last night - scrumptious!  Tonight we will either have leftover chili, chili mac, or we may go with tuna casserole.  I've got to ask my hubby later this afternoon what he's in the mood for. I'm figuring it's going to be chili mac - that's traditionally the meal the night after chili and both my guys have always loved it.

On a church night, all I have time for is fast food.  I get off work at 5pm and services start at 6, and I wouldn't dream of showing up to church in my filthy work clothes.  I have to go to Costco on the way home, so tonight will probably be a Costco hotdog and drink.

Church night so we had a large lunch.  Chicken caserolled in sage and onion gravy, roast potatoes with garlic, olive oil and Herbes de Provence, cauliflower cheese, mushrooms, carrots and runner beans. Lemon meringue tart and ice cream for desert.

For supper I had Ham and tomato sandwich, toasted sticky toffee pancakes and toasted fruit bread.

Sounds tasty, both of you.

Went with the chili mac. Good stuff!
