Glenn Greenwald: ‘A Lot’ More Nsa Documents To Come

After six months of stories based on Snowden’s revelations, Greenwald said a single theme had overshadowed any of the stories’ individual elements.
 
“It is literally true, without hyperbole, that the goal of the NSA and its partners in the English-speaking world is to eliminate privacy globally,” he said. “They want to make sure there is no communication that evades their net.”
 
He said he was working on a new story indicating that the NSA was “obsessed” by the idea that people could still use some Internet devices and mobile phones on airplanes without being recorded. “The very idea that human beings can communicate for even a few moments without their ability to monitor is intolerable.”

"DUBLIN, IRELAND –  A teenage girl died on the street after a pharmacy refused to hand over a life-saving adrenaline injection to the girl's mother because she didn't have a prescription.

 

Emma Sloan, 14, suffered an allergic reaction to peanuts after mistaking satay sauce for curry sauce at a Chinese restaurant in Dublin. She told her mother, Caroline, she was having difficulty breathing."

So sad, some people has such a bad allergic reaction there's no time to get them to a hospital or for help top get to them. My heart goes out to this mother.

"Health officials have confirmed that two Gregg County residents have died from the H1N1 virus, which was just confirmed as one of the "mystery illnesses" in Montgomery County, near Houston.
 
Starting Thursday, physicians are being advised to give their patients Tamiflu if they are showing flu-like symptoms. The good news is that the H1N1 virus is included in this year's flu shot, but so far, it looks like those who have died from the virus have not had the vaccination. "

Dec 24 (Reuters) - A Las Vegas taxi driver has been hailed for his honesty after ensuring that $300,000 in cash found left in his cab was returned to its rightful owner, the Las Vegas Sun reported on Tuesday.
 
Gerardo Gamboa discovered the cash inside a bag that an unidentified passenger left behind in the taxi's back seat early Monday after a successful night of gambling, the newspaper reported.

The case brings to mind the long legal battle surrounding the case of Terri Schiavo, who was left in a permanent vegetative state after collapsing in her home in 1990. While Schiavo's husband declared she would not want to be kept alive, her parents fought to keep her feeding tube intact. In 2005, after a long legal battle that went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, Schiavo's feeding tube was removed and she died shortly thereafter.
