How is God my Father? Because I was made His son when I trusted Jesus Christ.

I would agree to an extent, Li. We can learn from the Old Testament. But that should be a learning that points to the cross and to grace.

Pastors should not be preaching the Old Testament Mosaic Law as something that
God commands us to obey today. Sadly, many Churches, even IFB Churches, teach obedience to the Law that was never meant for them. When they do so, they tempt God and they subvert the souls of their congregation.

Nothing wrong with your illustration, Jim. Jesus often used illustrations.

this is just a simple questioning not a belittling nor is there anything else implied.

Why would you, as a Christian or as a believer in the KJV as authoritative, resort to using Secular Sophist Reasoning to explain what you mean when you can explain it using scriptures?

16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any [man]: for thou regardest not the person of men.
17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, [ye] hypocrites?
19 Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.
20 And he saith unto them, Whose [is] this image and superscription?
21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

Now, why do you suppose Jesus used a coin that belonged to the world instead of quoting Scriptures?

James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

AVBB is correct.  That was a command for Israel only.

Gentile nations were not given the statutes contained in the Law of Moses.

Psalms 147:19 He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
Psalms 147:20 He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.

Acts 15:10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

Acts 15:23 And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
Acts 15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
Acts 15:25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
Acts 15:26 Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 15:27 We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.
Acts 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
Acts 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

To teach Gentile Converts to faith in our Lord Jesus Christ have to keep the Law of Moses is to tempt God (Acts 15:10) and to subvert the souls of the Gentiles (Acts 15:24)

Waitresses with nose jewelry.  I find it very unappetizing when my food server has things dangling from her nose or hanging from her lip.

It could be worse... you could have been served by this man who obviously lost a fight with the chef....

Sounds like you are promoting ecuminism... which is a heretical doctrine.

I believe Dave is right concerning the "we" and "those"  Paul switches to an outside party and not Christians.

Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Hebrews 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
Hebrews 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Read verse 9...

Hebrews 6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

There are things that accompany Salvation.  These things that accompany Salvation the people Paul was addressing had.  But the those clearly did not.  They were never saved.

Jesus is the Good Shepherd and He cares for the sheep.  If one wanders, He does not say, "Well, I lost one."  No, like any good shepherd, He goes looking for the sheep and brings it back to the fold.  It may have strayed, but it never ceased being His.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

How do you reconcile one losing one's Salvation with this verse, GS?
