Spell check can be fun at times.

I recently posted Amos 3:3 on my blog.

It should have read,  "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"
Instead, it read, "Can two walk to get her, except they be agreed?"

LoL

Yeah, malarkey's story was malarkey. As are all the other Heaven/Hell visitation stories we hear about from these modern-day charlatans

#398612 Thou Shalt Not Grow A Beard.......

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Notice in this verse we see Isaiah, the Prophet of God identifying himself as a sheep just like the rest of the children of Israel.  Men like Ruckman don't want to be sheep, they want authority.  Sheep follow a leader.  Preachers like Calvin, Ruckman, et. al., don't want an authoritative figure over them.

They consider themselves to be the authority, and the congregation to be sheeple who bow to their demands without questioning or complaint.

Might want to start practicing the "thee's", "thou's" and "thine's" too.  And not just while reading the Bible!

Ya could liven things up a bit and the next she chides you for a beard, tell her...

"Mom, I've decided that to subject you to having to see my beard offends you so greatly, And so, I've bought you this blindfold."  :runforhills:

Ya know... they didn't like Jesus' beard either.  They that persecuted Him plucked His out.

The Bible does not condemn beards, so I won't let anyone condemn me for having one... even though it is imposible for me to keep mine looking half-way decent due to my inability to see to trim it properly.  Mine makes me look like a mountain man.  LoL

The Apostle Paul once wrote,

Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

That said, two questions must be asked...

Does that also apply to mother-in-law's?
Is it within you to shave the beard off?

Not in my nature.

LoL

#398426 Bbc Radio Service For Holy Innocents

To tell you the truth, I didn't listen to it. I don't submit myself to listening to any catholic/catholic based services.

And Mary was not pure in body. She could not have been. Everyone's body is corrupt, everyone's heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. She was no exception.

Did you read the liturgy on the BBC page you linked to? One of the songssung is, "A Virgin Most Pure" that is Catholic doctrine, not Baptist. The Bible does not say Mary was most pure... Or even pure at all for that matter.

Baptist do occasionally mention the children that Herod had slaughtered. However, they do not exalt them as Childermas (Holy Innocence Day) does.

I wonder how it would turn out if a white guy self identified as black? Not too good, I suspect.

I once knew a black guy, Zeno, who would stand against you if you told him his skin was black. He was either a good actor, or he actually believed he was caucasion. When racial wars broke out in school, he was always fighting the blacks.

Even if you handed him a mirror, or told him to look at the backs of his hands, he would insist he was white and saw caucasion skin. But, get him drunk or high, (these days were prior to my Salvation) and hand him a mirror... he would go ballistic, wanting an explanation as to why no one ever told him he was black.

LoL

P.S. Zeno was one of the best friends a person would want. Note that I said "one of the best." Jesus Christ, of course, is the best... hands down.

#398303 Partial Preterism Mat 24:3-35

Posted by Standing Firm In Christ on 31 December 2014 - 05:26 PM

It is amazing how you latch on to the wrong parts of my posts.
Was all of Mt. 24 fulfilled?
No.
Therefore, either Jesus was lying or it is all future.  It is ONE TEACHING.  It was meant to be taken as one teaching concerning one series of events culminating in the physical return of Jesus Christ.  The text is clear on that point.

Jesus Christ did not return to the earth in 70 AD.

You are correct. Jesus did not return in AD 70. But, sometime after that, a false prophet began telling people christ came back in AD 70. Sadly, many fell for it and are following a false christ

a yellow tuxedo? i can't even picture it!  even in 1982

My twin sister got married that year and had my three brothers and myself in tuxedo's.  Since it was on a weekend, and the tux rental shop was closed until Monday, I wore the tux to the scheduled concert.

Nice dodge, Covenanter.

How about you tell us which prophecies written in Revelation you believe have already been fulfilled?
