For the record, I rather enjoyed the Lahaye/Jenkins "Left Behind" series. Albeit, I did not read them as being Scripturally sound. I enjoyed them for the fiction they are. I would get a book in the series, start reading, and not put it down until I read the last chapter. Then, I waited for the next to come out. I was intrigued by the storyline. disappointed in the artistic license it took with Scripture, and actually wondered how much better they would have been had the authors stuck to Scripture.
One of the biggest disapointments for me was seeing Rayford and Chloe allegedly getting "born again" after the rapture of the Church, when the storyline shows they rejected Christ before the Rapture. And they didn't reject Him due to ignorance of not knowing who He was. Irene had shared the Gospel with Rayford and Chloe prior to the Rapture.
In the books, artistic license was taken, and they were given new life in Christ when the Bible teaches they would be sent strong delusions and believe a lie because they received not a love for the truth.
So many more errors. Too numerous to count. But a well written fiction nonetheless.
Even with the fire and brimstone falling, Sodom, Gomorrah, and the cities surrounding them would not repent. Remember the promise made to Abraham? If five righteous were found the cities would not be destroyed.
The cities were destroyed. None turned to righteousness... Even in their blindness and dying.
Reminds me of Revelation. The rest of mankind repented not, but continued to blaspheme God. Hmmmm

Urgent Item! The lesbian mayor of Houston has NOT rescinded the subpoenas against the 5 Christian pastors. Family Research Council has launched a petition drive calling for the city to immediately rescind the subpoenas. I need you to sign the petition!
Let's send a very clear message to Houston and the nation. Please, please share this with your family and friends and church members Stand together people of faith! https://www.frc.org/houston
As I said, she is quite aware of what the Bible teaches. She may also be aware of what those five preachers preach. If not, why only the five? Why not ten? Twenty? Fifty?... There are hundreds of pastors in Houston, yet five were singled out.

Parents in Lincoln, Nebraska, were up in arms after teachers were given teaching guidelines that advised them not to use “gendered expressions,” like calling the students “boys and girls.” The handout said that so as not to impose any specific gender classifications on students who might be gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, teachers should create non-gendered terms like “purple penguins” or divide students by personal preferences, like “dog or cat” people. Well, first of all, I’d point out how offensive that is to kids who prefer parrots! Hey, if someone prefers pets with colorful plumage, don’t try to impose your outdated canine-feline stereotypes on them! Second, I hate to break this to you, but gender is a biological fact of life. You’re either a boy or a girl. Even if you sincerely believe you’re a girl trapped in the body of a boy, you’re still in the body of a boy. All the politically correct weasel words in the world will not alter the basic reality of anatomy. After getting an earful from parents and a lot of unwanted national ridicule, the Lincoln school superintendent said the gender-neutral terms were just a suggestion, not a policy or a mandate. I’d also like to add: there’s no such thing as a purple penguin. - posted by Mike Huckabee on Facebook
