As homosexuality becomes more accepted, and as it comes closer to homes of more people, the temptation to change our minds will become greater.  The devil knows we never want to have to separate from our children. But we will have to stay strong.  Pray for your Pastors like never before, pray for the leadership of your churches.  Pray for those who are not strong enough to withstand the temptation.

The invitation is given weekly at our church, not only for salvation, but for any other issues the people may be dealing with.

#373051 Christians That Are Paid Serve Christ Better....

It's the same in our church, volunteers do the work.  It is usually the SAME volunteers, but we do not pay to get the church cleaned, the yard mowed,

the musicians are not paid, and neither are the singers or music director.

#364777 What Does King James Only Really Means?

Posted by quinkie on 08 March 2014 - 04:16 PM

To me, King James only means, I only read the King James Bible, I only read books that use the KJ scripture as references, I only listen to preachers who use the KJ and if I hear the phrase "this is better translated as"  I get up and leave.

#353110 Pastors Burning Out Their Faithful Members...

I have always heard that in most churches 80% of the work is done by 20% of the people. That is true in our church. It seems the same people are the ones who do all the work.

#351059 What Is A Full-Time Pastor?

Posted by quinkie on 22 November 2013 - 04:19 PM

Just checking, if a pastor have services Wednesday night, Sunday Morning, and evening and thats all, maybe check in to see his emails, is this full time? :th_popout:

Are you saying that is all a Pastor does? Three services a week and e-mails? Wow, what a cushy job.
I thought they did hospital visits, jail visits, home visits, soul winning, studies the bible for his sermons, planned the yearly schedule, many meetings with other prachers, missionaries, set revivals,
funerals, weddings, praying, business meetings, counseling.

#351043 What Is A Full-Time Pastor?

Posted by quinkie on 22 November 2013 - 02:12 PM

To me "full-time" means they are available 24 hours a day. It is not a 9-5 job. If the Pastor has to work a 40 hour a week job somewhere else, then he can not be expected to be available to his people when he should be at work. The studying he does for the sermons of the week also take up much of his time.

I would say that you did the only thing you could do. It was his property, he is allowed to tell you to get off his property. And you did as he asked.
