#382388 How Old Is The Earth

It takes "detective work" with the help of the Holy Spirit to uncover a lot of truth that is in the Scriptures.

How many times have I seen folks just "gloss over" a truth as if it wasn't even there.

Being creatures of habit, many often just "parrot" what they have heard others say.

The Bereans were more noble than the Thessalonians because they diligently searched the Scriptures.

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Job 38:4

When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Job 38:7

God is not one who "has a lot of time" to accomplish his plans.  God dwells in eternity.  God created the space-time continuum.

In Rev., John is describing things from HIS perspective, using the best language he can to describe events.

Unless the desire is simply to be contentious (Pro 26:21, Rom 2:8),

these concepts are easy to understand by the simplest of minds.

#381290 Pre Tribulation Rapture

Eric wouldn't it better to say things are restored during the Kingdom, then after the devil is loosed everything is destroyed with fire and a New Heaven and Earth appear?

Ken

Right, the earth will be "restored" following the Great Tribulation (Day of the Lord),

but what Peter refers to is the destruction and remaking of the universe "by fire".

There is a false teaching among Baptists that use a single verse as the foundation for their Christian cult:

He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom,

which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the

bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.  John 3:29

It would appear that these are the daily sacrifices & oblation (offering) in Dan 9.

Paul went up to Jerusalem and made a vow and offered a sacrifice.

As well, "the twelve" continued in Judaism.  The problem was with

The Atonement (Yom Kippur), which Christ fulfilled.  So it is understandable

that Israel will resume the Temple ceremonies once the Temple is rebuilt.

What's going on Iraq and Syria is a family fight  leading to fulfillment of the prophecy of Psalm 83.

"Islam" will be laid-low... very low.

The Temple was destroyed twice.  Both times it was destroyed on Tisha B'Av (9th of Av).

The Israeli's count Herod's as an embellishment of the Second Temple (Zerubbabel's Temple).

The Third Temple will be built in due time; all the preparations have already been made.

Time is short.

Written in 96 A.D. by John
And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying,
Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
Revelation 11:1  This is the Tribulation Temple (ie: 3rd Temple), the one Antichrist "abominates".

Who opposeth and exalteth  himself above all that is called God or worshiped as God

so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God shewing himself that he is God.  2 Thes 2:4

The Pope exalts himself over all that is called God, that he does when he is enthroned on the high altar over what they call god,i.e.the consecrated wafer.  The popes have always claimed to be more powerful than Christ.

2 Thes 2:8-9 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy
with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

Clearly this is not "the Pope".  This is the False Christ that deceives the whole world (except the "elect") during the Great Tribulation.

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth,

that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  2 Thes 2:10-11

Now those who say that this has already happened are Preterists, which is a "bedfellow" of Replacement Theology.

Is this the Covenant Theology you speak of?

It's Calvinism, much of which is derived from the 4th Century Catholic Church's "Theology".

"Covenant" theology teaches that God has abandoned the promises made to the Jews

and has replaced the Jews with Christians as his chosen people in the earth.

Yes, you are correct.  However, my Rabbi friend is part of the Temple Institute and he keeps me informed on recent events.  He just told me that they are still a bit away from building the Temple.  When I want to know something about Judaism, I go to the Jews for information.  I don't know where you are getting your information from.  If you are reading it on Christian sites, I would caution you on that.  The Torah Observant Jews are a much better source.  That's all I am saying, brother.

It's going to take another Arab-Israeli war, specifically, Psalm 83.  Does he tell you that he knows when another war will start?

BTW, I posted a link of an interview with the head of the Temple Institute.   Here is yet another link from the Temple Institute:

BTW.  There have already been three temples.  Herod's was probably the biggest as the had to build up the temple mount to accommodate it.  The second was the smallest.

There have only been 2 temples.  Herod's was an "embellishment" of Nehemiah's temple.

You need to get up to speed on Judiasm.  Perhaps "covenator" can help you since he

fancies himself as an expert on Judiasm with his "vast understanding" of Hebrews.

#375748 Kingdom Of Antichrist ?

"Symbolization" of Scripture is part of 1,500 year old Catholic "Replacement Theology".

Catholic doctrine is that all of Revelation is "symbolic".  This doctrine started with

Origen of Alexandria (185-254 A.D.).  Remnants of Catholic Replacement Theology

teachings are found throughout Protestantism... yes even among some "IFB".
