Keeping up

I've been very good about keeping my spaces blog updated, but not so good about this one.

I'm reading the Sermon on the Mount right now. I thought that I would like to read it in one sitting. :roll Not gonna happen. I'm going to finish it tonight, and then start on it again. There is so much good stuff in that sermon that there is no way I should have thought to read it at once.

Sadly, it's...

Tears can be good for us

Permanent Linkby 5dumplings@home on September 12th, 2007, 12:53 pm

God occassionally brings sorrow in our lives as chastisement, but not always. Sometimes, it is merely for purifying.

I love this song as a reminder when the tears must fall in my own life. I have a recording of Dr. Ron Comfort and his family singing it when the girls were young.

Seems to be much neater now.

Today is the official first day of school everywhere else in this state of ours. My kids have a great headstart. Tabitha even managed to get her work done before lunch. With no corrections. (Including math.) If she could be that diligent everyday, I'd be a happy mama.

Sunday marks our church's 25th anniversary. My pastor is looking forward to having one Sunday morning service now, instead of two. It has been 15 years of doing an 8:30 am and 11:00am service in...

Is there some reason the baby can't sleep on Saturday night?

Permanent Linkby 5dumplings@home on August 20th, 2007, 12:12 pm

I stayed home yesterday morning. Thought I would get some sleep while she took one of her famous 3 hour morning naps. No 3 hour nap. She only slept 1 hour. I may as well have gone to church. The only thing is, I haven't had a decent night's sleep in so long I couldn't open my eyes for the longest time. Last night at church was pretty rough.

The others all went through a time of not sleeping on Saturday nights, too.

Last night's service was nice though. One of our newly graduated from Bible...
