Monday was student orientation for my September classes. I spent the evening gettting to know each of my eight students. They are all so different in their own ways. But they all love to learn and almost all of them love to interact.
Last night was my first night of regular classes for this month. I kept two of my classes from the first month, since August was a kind of breaking-in period. I love getting to know each of the kids and the friendships that I am able to build with fellow tutors, staff, my JT, and, of course, the students.
Here are a couple of pictures from three of my six classes last night.

This is one of my favorite classes. I had John last month but this is my first month with Eunice. And she's adooorable.

I had this class my first month as well. I asked Jason(he signed in as his brother) to write a few sentences about a poem that I asked him to read. I was very proud of what he wrote. I saved the whiteboard separately before taking the screenshot.

This is my last class in the evening, at 9:00. Grace is really good at reading, but I have a hard time getting her to talk very much. Michael actually goes so far as to ask me questions though, pretty good for a Level 1 class.
So there you have it, my beloved students. Did I mention that I love teaching.
