I hope that this entry finds you all well. I give God the praise for the oppurtunity to share what he is doing in my life. About a month ago, the Lord laid on my heart to approach our unit chaplain about starting a weekly prayer meeting. After a couple of weeks of praying about it, we went ahead. We are now into the 6th week and we are seeking God for an increase in attendance. I have been talking with several people involved in bible ministry. They all seem to say the same things The Baptist Church is dead. Why do we not get excited about getting the word of God to people in need. About 6 months ago I contacted around 100 churches in Minnesota. All I asked was that the church would be willing to collect used bibles from their members. Guess how many postive repsonses I have gotten 1 or 2. Well I just got back from our trip to Tennessee. This preaching trip was special for me because it was the first time my father and I preached together. The church was Grace Bible Baptist Church in Knoxville. What a glorious time it was as Pastor Barnett, my father and I all took turns preaching. Church started at 10 am and finished up at 5:30pm.
