I just started attending a weekly Bible study at a church nearby. Currently, we're studying 1 Corinthians. The subject of redemption came up this last Wednesday, and oh my cow did the teacher do a great job!

The street near our college is not known for holding the "best company". It is a common place to find ladies-of-the-night. The teacher told us that if we were to really grasp the redemption of God, then we should go and just watch one of those poor women for 5 minutes. But for the...

I decided to post this as a blog instead of a post because it more of my thoughts than it is a discussion. I often get a chuckle on the method some folks use when they try and discredit the King James Bible. To start, I must say, some folks think that I am too much for the KJV while others think I am not KJV enough. I believe that I am right where I am supposed to be in believing that the KJV is God's preserved Words for the English speaking people.

We started school early this year. No reason not to start. I have all of my books and my kids start getting bored about this time every summer. We are just easing in to the year, of course. We are going through Proverbs for Bible using Wellsprings of Life by Donald Orthner. It's basically Proverbs put into subject categories. The kids seem to be enjoying it. Silver Screen Sensation

Continuing our annual tradition(for the second time), Sarah and I joined my cousins, Billy and Bryce, for an evening of music from the silver screen performed by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
