Why do Baptist Churches seem so dead by TheBibleSender on July 28th, 2007, 12:56 pm
I have been talking with several people involved in bible ministry. They all seem to say the same things The Baptist Church is dead. Why do we not get excited about getting the word of God to people in need. About 6 months ago I contacted around 100 churches in Minnesota. All I asked was that the church would be willing to collect used bibles from their members. Guess how many postive repsonses I have gotten 1 or 2. One church said they already did something similiar(PTL) The other sounded interested...

Washington state beauty by HappyChristian on July 24th, 2007, 4:52 pm
Last August, to celebrate our 20th anniversary, my hubby and I went to WA to visit my parents. The first time Randy had ever been to the state. Of course, it was gorgeous. We all had a good time (our son was already there and came home with us at the end of the vacation).

Two firsts by Samer on July 20th, 2007, 10:27 pm
Gave my first little devotion Tuesday night in the dorm (started in Isaiah 6 and 33:13-17, about a vision of God). That was fun. I was shaking at the beginning for some reason.

Preached for the first time last night, downtown with my church. Sure wore my voice out in the open air. Didn't have much time, but got to go through sin and the Gospel. Again, I was pretty nervous at the start of it...Kinda funny.

Just excited at being able to do that.
