The Question to Ask
A professor at my college made a statement in class one day that really changed the way that I view things in my life.
He said that when we look at something in our life we should not ask the question "What's wrong with it?" but we should instead say "Does this bring glory to God?" He used the example of a nose ring peircing and said that if you were to ask "What's wrong with it?" you could maybe say it would put a hole in your nose, but aside from that its not really sinful, but if you were instead to say "Will this bring glory to God?" your answer, if you're honest with yourself would have to be, no. I have been applying this to my life and it has made a difference, even showing me some things that I never even thought were a problem as infact deducting from God's glory. I wanted to share this with you guys and give you some help as it did me. God Bless! (P.S. Brother Matt: If you want to post this elswhere feel free to do so. I was not sure where the best place would be.) Prov. 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil."

RE: The Question to Ask
"And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?" Exo 4:11 (I am proud deaf with cochlear implant) |

RE: The Question to Ask
Its quite surprising to me at the number of Christians today who have a priced nose, eye brows, tongue, and tattoos who are proud of them, thinking they bring glory to our Lord. Most will not listen to why this should not be.
Le 19:28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD. In His Service, Jerry It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. Psalm 118:8 "Jesus is your only hope!" |

RE: The Question to Ask
Or you could wonder what Jesus would say if He was looking at you from the cross. Is he saying "Father forgive him/her for they know not what they do" or is he saying "you will be with me in paradise".
