Strange Statistics - Guns vs. Doctors

Doctors

(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.

(B) The number of accidental deaths caused by physicians per year are 120,000.

SO, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

Remember, 'Guns don't kill people, doctors do.'

Fact: Not everyone has a gun, but almost everyone has at least one doctor.

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat.

We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand.

Out of concern for the public at large, we withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention.

John, That was fabulous!! I had a "near miss" in the hospital this year. This is the medical term used to say they almost killed me! I had pnumonia , went for another chest xray and was told pnumonia looked to be gone but something else was attacking my right lung. I was to be admitted to the hospital immediately after dialysis treatment. OK so I go but physicians are afraid of me -don't look scarey just have several medical issues. Until the Disease Specialist can arrive the next morning I was given a pump IV of every antibiotic to cover all spectrums. Nurse came to give me my third one and said the name of the Class of drug. I know the antibiotic that simply makes me stop breathing but wasn't 100% sure of the class it feel under. My husband has tried to help me remember but the Lord gave me rememberance that early morning. By then I had a temp of 103! I ask the nurse was my antidiotic ,that put's me into anaphalactic shock with a tester dose!!, apart of this group of these antibiotics. She told me not to let anyone touch my pump and ran out!! Next thing I know I hear yelling--I mean a big yelling match !! She has the physician come up and he changed my orders. Then he came in and apologized!! On top of this because my amount of neuro medication "alarmed" the DR. he had lowered just my neuro. meds _NEVER CONTACTIG my neurologist!! Please understand I'm now not aware of where I am at night. My husband comes back next day. He begins to question my doses and times given. He's medical staff. Can you imagine how a average person would know how to make any progress to help their loved one?? So I begin to have what look like seizures to them and after trying to explain I demand my physician covering me that day or the charge nurse Plus a patient Representative with a nursing background not a social worker background. Finally get my neur meds back in order but I went thru soo much that NEVER needed to happen. Now I know, when you are admitted to the hospital and know your meds for something you must tell your admitting physician "DO not Reconcill My Medications!" Next time I will also call my Neurologist!! He himself ask me to write up a report because this keeps happening to neuro. patient's! I did and it is in writing and documented. Please know, if you or your loved one does have a bad experience if it's not put in writing-by you or family-it will have never have happen nor will in be in your chart!! If not for guns and the men trained to use them, you wouldn't have the freedom to come to this site. Sad that, even with the statistics in this post and the reallit all around you, you still think that the guns themselves are what is bad!! Shall I also assume that you are an Obama supporter? What about cars, they kill far more people a day than guns can even hope to. Guess we should get rid of cars too?
